Heidi Klum and Save the Children

Before we breakout into song singing, "The Children Are Our Future", we thought we would just show you!

And a petitePARADE VOGUE friend, Truly Scrumptious by Heidi Klum has long stand by this idea.

Recently Truly Scrumptious by Heidi Klum partnered with the Save the Children Foundation in efforts to inspire creativity among kids through sponsoring the Project Doodle Contest where Truly Scrumptious by Heidi Klum introduced a specially designed t-shirt  contest encouraging children to submit their own designs of fun monster-themed doodles.  Two designs were then chosen, manufactured and sold at Babies "R" Us stores nationwide and online.

Budding designers and winners, Deryk- 6 years old and Faith- 5 years old, can proudly say they have contributed to raising awareness to Save the Children's mission to help fellow children in improvised regions in the United States.

Recommend Reading: Children of Israel

While you may not normally pick up a coffee table book for a bedtime story, Children of Israel, by award winning photographer Luca Zordan and international fashion stylist Alethea Gold, should be the exception.

Compiled of moving photographs, set behind beautiful Israeli landscapes, and a range of diverse stories by children in a variety of cultures, Children of Israel proves that peace is possible.

Even more, 100% of the book profits will be donated directly to the Nurit Absorption Centre in Beer Sheva, an organization that assists Ethiopian refugee children. The Nurit Absorption Center has agreed to use 100% of the funds specifically to fund schooling, sports and art activities for the children.

With a book this great, it is no surprise why we are so delighted about its release. And any parent can attest that there is no greater love than the love for your child, so sit with your children and go through this book together. Continue Children of Israel's mission to spread love and compassion that children so naturally carry in their hearts.

Take a scroll through to seek a peak inside and read stories of some of the children.

go buy it now! Available on AMAZON

Zordan and Gold have teamed up before on similar projects creating Children of China and Children of Africa: South Africa Edition.

Childrens Boutique with an Arts & Crafts Focus

It has become abundantly clear that the DIY/Art's and Crafts movement that we are in, will unlikely fade any time soon. And why should it?!

With a new push on the appreciation of the 'hand crafted', be it done your self or by an artisan, consumers have been craving one-of-kind treasures. Allegria Boutique  located in the very current area of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, is taking note.

Their DIY persona and Pinterest worthy ascetic, can quickly inspire any on looker into becoming a scrapbooking queen!

With its doors first opened on September 6th, 2012 owners Lula Aldunate and Melanie Gomez have developed a store concept that perfectly suits the creative mothers of  Williamsburg and surrounding areas.

Specializing in clothing and toys made from international and local artist, Allegria offers one of a kind treasures for the children at heart.

Carrying some of our favorite brands like Stella Cove, Allegria has curated a delicate selection of children's clothes.

But Allegria is much more than just a clothing store. Selling many eco-friendly artistries from around the world, it is easy to find one of a kind treasures from beautifully handcrafted home décor, textile and stationary.

Honing in on their DIY-ness, Allegria cleverly thought of many other ways to maximize on their brick and mortar space. Not only is this a place that mom's love to be in, but kids enjoy their time here as well. With a wall meant for writing, the chalkboard wall is a favorite for the artist kid within.
Like a gallery for children of all ages, with so many charming qualities, it comes to no surprise that we have selected Allegria Boutique is a store we want to highlight.

Check out the cutest painting kit around! Especially since it is Fair Trade
